That Was Then And This Is Now
Beautifully captured
The essence of time
In the past we are captured
But the present is prime
Lessons and heartaches
Shadows and scars
Through the dance of time
Shapes us to be who we are
No longer tethered to old regrets
No longer bound by past debts
I walk forward with a lighter heart
Ready to embrace a brand-new start
Embracing the future
With courage and grace
For every challenge i face
Shapes my inner space
Standing in the now
Grateful for the past
Every struggle, every vow
For every trial, every tear shed
Has brought me to the light of a new day
I stand, transformed in every way
That was then and this is now
This is where I am at today
I have found my only true friend, it's me!
