That Time of the Year
Push, hurry, stress, worry
Go fast as time won't last
Feel hazy and a bit crazy
Yes, it's that time of the year
Another laundry pile makes you lose your smile
The window sill more inviting than the treadmill
An unmopped floor blankly stared at many times before
and piles that were NOT now clutter EVERY spot!
Yes, it's that time of the year
Take a deep sigh and look up to the sky
see the colorful sunrise. Be simple and wise
Be mild with your husband, wife or child
Hug your daughter or son when the day is done
Praise what is good as you most often should
Remember.....it's that time of the year
