That Special One

Out there somehere, is a boss of greed
working that employee, and everyone sees
you will ride that willing horse to death
expecting more of them, than all the rest

seven days a week, you ride him hard
you say you need him, but he gets tired
day after day, the same old grind
another like him, will be hard to find

give praise, where praise is due
and maybe that work horse, will stay with you
don't take for granted he will always be there
why keep doing it, if your boss doesn't care

My youngest son Just got out of I.C.U. last week. some type of bacteria in his lungs. He spent 8 days in the hospital. His boss never once came to check on him, called once saying you need to hurry up and get back to work. He's worked for him over 13 years and all he is just a chunk of meat to them. I can relate to this poem. Your old Texas pal Ron

Good one, Chris. Lots of people in the work place are taken advantage of. You highlighted this so well. It isn't right, and it needs to stop. Thanks for your visit and for sharing your thoughts.
