That One

Never know he wasn’t wanted, by his Dad way back then Secret she’s taken to her grave, as some folks do … a sin That One, was all she had prayed for, since brother, never had Never could she have imagined, not wanted … by its Dad? Wonder if Dad ever regrets, he didn’t want, that child Doubt if ever thought when older, That One … might bring a smile That One, she knew would make her smile, never once had a doubt Since played with dolls, wanted a son, That One … she lives without.
