That Old Red Barn

The picture of this old red barn
Hung behind my bed

This old sweet barn where I spent
Many a rainy day

The hay stack for my bed
And Fairy tales for company

No one knew this secret place
Except for Uncle Jack

Who brought milk and cookies
And a little sunshine thru his tales

Where the musty smell of wet grain
Became a part of me

This safe haven in a tiny corner
Of this huge world still remains

This old sweet barn where I spent Many a rainy day. I was always a thinker, Tahera, and as a result I too spent many a rainy day tucked between two bales of hay, on rainy days doing nothing but thinking. Congratulations on a worthy poem's honor. Agape, Moses
