THAT NIGHT

As night approached
Pavement struggle
A Dog set alone
No shelter to sleep
No owner love to get
Observing passing car headlights
Stillness in the air
Neighborhood quite it
Night skies watch
Chill breezes
A Dog not feeling at ease
Feeling desperation
A world ignoring showing no attention.
