That Monday Night

As brothers do We argued at times But on that Monday night To the heavens you climbed You ran ahead But you could run very fast I was left behind Your life was cast To grow together Was taken from us For much i would have said In brotherly discuss First i would say I loved you so dear I have just turned 49 And i wish you were here A little brother Needs a big one to follow For many years after My life was so hollow The games we played Football and others Its the way it should have been For us Fraser brothers So Billy my brother Boom, Boom to thee I see you fly through the stars As you look down over me I only knew you Seven little years And every time i think of you It brings me to tears So next time you fly over I have words to say There in a loving poem From my heart their displayed http://www.thehighlanderspoems.com/me.php

This is a wonderful tribute to your brother James....losing a loved is so very hard. Especially when it happens in youth. For we do not truly understand it. Sometimes even time does not lessen the pain. This brought back memories..and tears. Thanks so much for sharing! I am sure Billy is watching from heaven and will be there waiting! God Bless~Mary

Sad write here, James. It has been 42 years according to your poem and you still miss this brother(I couldn't decide if he was younger or older). He was so young that he will be waiting for you in heaven needing his brother when he gets there. Keep the creative pen flowing. Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my work. Sara

HI, James. This makes me want to know more about your little brother. I take it he died when you were both very small? Those last several stanzas your love and kinship was strongly expressed. andrea
