That Mighty Oak
As I gaze out my window today
I see that mighty giant oak
It seems naked though without its leaves
But shortly it’ll wear its mighty cloak
Those limbs that swoop downward
Will bring needed shade come spring
And it in its masters way
Will again reign as the yard King
The birds with all their fluttering
Will have nests all throughout
And woodpeckers pecking noisily
Will feed again no doubt
The squirrels, oh yes those pesky things
Will chase each other up and down
And I shall see it all once more
From my vantage point on the ground
The mighty oak sways in the breeze
And calls for all to come
Birds will sing in harmony
In this massive green coliseum
But now it sleeps in peaceful bliss
Just waiting for that click
I know it won’t be long my friends
Go ahead, do the arithmetic
