That Lost Day

Duchess of my heart
royal monarch ruling
over hearts dominion
noble grace reigning
over souls province.

How lovely you were
that flawless visage
how dramatic then
hair elegant flowing
eyes alluring staring.

Parted lips painted
breathless your kiss
muted hushed sighs
mouth of ambrosia
sweet scented scilla.

Ever shall I remember
our amatory affection
our fervent devotion
so resplendent this
Duchess of my heart.

Thank you kindly Regina. She is the one who got away. My other poem you read, Seaside Senses, was about her as well. Both poems written back in '89.
