That Good 'Ol Country Life

With that fresh air, and wide-open space
That country home is something I cannot erase
With fried chicken and sweet tea, which is too much caloric intake.
And my Granny's canned green beans, oh yes, please!
Where all the people know ya, and call you "sweetie"
Even if they haven't seen me in 10 years.
Where all the people say "warsh" and "tchyou" instead of you.
The country is the best place to be
It is my home
Where the people get up at the crack of dawn
And the deer begin to fawn, and the cows begin to calf.
Where the air is fresher (you get used to the cow smell).
That good 'ol country life is God's blessing here on earth
Because we know that we go home to a nice warm hearth.

I live in the big city but reading this makes me long to be in the country. I enjoyed the read, Elaina. John
