That Day

Never been there before
Never seen what it had in store
After today, never again
Will I give it ten on ten

On the score and sixth day of the eleventh month,
the neighboring country's diabolical terrorists did hunt
Over a hundred people in Mumbai
But thankfully nine out of ten of them did die

A Black Wednesday one could say
But only if it had lasted a day
For 120 hours the police and commandos did fight
In the end, though, they did prevail
Over the ones who assailed

Hats off to those who did die
To keep some others alive
To keep the city safe and secure
To face a terrorist threat no more.

**I'd like to dedicate this poem to those who died fighting to free the The Taj Hotel of
terrorists and to the brave people who alerted everyone of their(the terrorists') presence.
