That Day
Clad in red
Her head covered coyly
She waited for me
In that holy ambience
I spotted her
Standing somewhat away
From other women
She looked ravishing
In that early November morning
The quick touching of feet
A part of that purposeful meet
The consequent blessings
And all those things
As planned
But before the 'Bye'
And the end
Brief exchange of words
Cautious not to be heard
Almighty’s watchful eye
Giving moments
Which will never die
The secret rendezvous
Without anybody knowing 'Who'
Lingers to this day
It was Karva Chauth
People say.
