That Broke Me

that broke me
exhaustion sings a lullaby
and shadows come alive
dancing on walls in memory
reciting sentimental journeys
the long forgotten perpetrator
chases me to the precipice
willingly I jump to escape him
avoiding the fall that broke me

Rather dark and disturbing...I most fervently hope not from personal experience? Still...if so...what better way than this to lay down a few old ghosts from the past. My very best regards, Sharon. :) john
