That Boy

She hated that boy The one with the smirk The one that would tease her With his charm and his quirks She hated that boy The one who knew her so well Who knew every smile Each dimple and frown She hated that boy In a non-hateful way Just like a scar That would not go away Then one day she found out That she had it all wrong It was love and not hate She had felt all along So when asked if she hated him She answered, “I do” Unwittingly, she would said them At his wedding too.
