Thanksgiving Table

God’s table is spread for the Thanksgiving feast.
Guests came in answer to His invitation.
They gathered from north and south, west and east,
To thank the Lord God, Author of salvation.

God’s table is spread for the Thanksgiving feast
Broken bread, posed to all who will receive.
This my body, rent for you, said Prince of Peace.
Bow before our Savior who has set us free.

God’s table is spread for the Thanksgiving feast
Cup, new covenant in my blood, said the Lord,
Poured out for many, sins pow’r released.
Let us sing praise to Jesus in one accord.

God’s table is spread for the Thanksgiving feast
Living water that imparts life eternal,
From this world’s thirst offers heavenly release,
Stands as Host of the table, Christ Supernal.
