Thanksgiving Bride

I got married on Thanksgiving And what I remember least Is the food out on the table, Though it likely was a feast. We were young and we were foolish – Getting hitched on such a day, But it’s thirty-nine years later So it all worked out okay. Still, tonight when I was eating All that turkey and the sides, I thought back to being one of those Unique Thanksgiving brides. Though in hindsight it was crazy And we both kind of regret it, When it comes to anniversaries, We never can forget it!

Good news for those forgetful husbands out there! Though with being Thanksgiving, the downfall is the lack of alone time with your partner - what with the whole family being there! I think being a Thanksgiving bride is merely another testament to your uniqueness - enjoyed it.

i know - it was a bit stupid but we had a small family wedding so it didn't inconvenience too many people. still, i wish someone had tried to talk us out of it. oh well. hope you had a great holiday!
