Thanksgiving 2001

It is time to celebrate life again.
On this Thanksgiving, I say to you
We should be thankful
To see the sunrise
To see the sunset
To be able to toil and reap rewards
To hear a child's laugh and to hear the cry
To know and to have known true love
To be and are able to be
For family, though sometimes scattered,
Will be there.
For all that we have, for the greatness of it
All is what we make it to be in our minds
And in our hearts.
But most of all, we should be thankful
For having the ability to be thankful.
Where others cannot, we can.
Where others are not, we should be.
