Thanks To You

There is hope
It shines in your eyes,
Lifting me up
When life silences my light

There is joy
It stirs laughter, a smile
When you’re near me
Reassuring and tender

There is wonder
It survives the darkness
Promising its grace
Inspiring – it’s you I can thank

There is your love
It always takes me away
From the doubt and confusion
Silencing every disillusionment

There is YOU
When I don’t know what to do
And, you fill my heart with elation
Because, with you, there is no darkness

There is only love that fills me to overflowing
Love that I know – will always bring me hope
