Thanks So Much

There are no words to describe
How much your friendship means to me.
Abundant times you lend an ear, a helping hand,
Notwithstanding your own problems,
Knowing what a difference it makes to my life…
Stabilizing a tottery sense of purpose.  

Steadily, through the years, you have proved your worth
Offering support when hope hangs by a thread…and

My fragile expectations succumb to despair… 
Until each time you come to my rescue
Carrying the weight of my inadequacy 
Helping – with love – expecting nothing in return.
