Thanks For the Inpiration This Morning

EVEN YOUR COUNTENANCE DIDN’T COUNT

Stars followed you in your path
While wicked was my wrath
I was mad and angry at everyone
But it was only my fault when all was said and done

The moon revealed its brightly lit face
And reflected the countenance of your utter grace
While I strolled the street in search of peace
As you stood by watching my need increase

When skies were grey you turned them blue
Because even Heaven knows the beauty in you
While inside me was a prayer for strength
But my habit only grew in power and length

Demons were made to bow at your knees
And in the cold you made sure even roses wouldn’t freeze
But I froze in the winter and sweated in the summer’s heat
And then you finally left me when I claimed defeat
