Thanks for leaving when I needed you most
Thanks for showing me that we weren't that close
Thanks for going back on everything you said
Thanks for telling me that you wished you were dead

It was great how you said that you wish you had lied
It was great that you didn't care how much i'd cried
It was great when you laughed and brushed me away
It was great when you made it clear that you wouldn't stay

I love that knowing how I can't rely on you
I love that you leave me so you can start anew
I love that even now you'll still ask me for help
I love that you manage to continue to whelp

I'll sit back and smile at my false pretense
I'll sit back and smile at my constant defence
I'll sit back and smile at the days that I lost
I'll sit back and smile but at quite a cost
