Thanks Be To God

Thanks be to God...for His only Son
       Praise be to Jesus,
        God and Man made One !

Born in a stable, such a lowly birth,
showing His love for all mankind when He came to earth.
Feel now His presence as you deign to see,
The child in the manger, meant for you and me.

     Thanks be to God..for His only Son
       Praise be to Jesus,
        God and Man made One !

Quiet was the night,
ever so dark and cold.
But the child born this night,
warms the world with His soul.

     Thanks be to God...for His only Son
       Praise be to Jesus,
         God and Man made One !

Angels in the heavens sang on high,
to lowly shepherds this brisk night.
"Peace on earth, good will to men",
Loudly came their song in heaven.

     Thanks be to God...for His only Son
       Praise be to Jesus,
        God and Man made One.

Oh Lord, Your star led the Magi three,
Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar to seek thee.
For they were wise as they kept the star in sight,
may we also follow its guiding light.

     Thanks be to God...for His only Son
       Praise be to Jesus,
        God and Man made One.

Families and friends joined in happy mirth,
as we celebrate Your wondrous birth.
Help us Lord, in Your divine guidance to see,
The love in each other, as You see in me.

     Thanks be to God...for His only Son
       Praise be to Jesus,
        God and Man made One.
