Notes About The Poem

Not for contest

Thanks

Thank you for reading my poetry
For as I write I feel happy and free
Though I don’t think my poems are much
They keep me engaged when out of touch

I write for me sometimes for you
To see if you feel the same as I do
No matter your situation or circumstances
We’re likely poets with similar ideals romantic

I’m still up and its after 1 am
And it’s rough having words like spam
Poetry in motion except not all good
Inspire me with your poetry like only you could

Midnight here on the East Coast. I believe I've noticed you up late when I am also awake in the wee hours. This poem sounds like you look, cute, cute.. Every time I come to see you, the first thing I do is get a grin-fix from your pic. I enjoyed your late night write, it would equally adorn my morn. I can't get lyrics to Prince songs on this *&((#@ microsoft search engine laptop, only song titles. I'll figure it out (do I sound confident?) Poetry hugs ... CayCay

It's great that poetry makes you feel happy and free. I think you couldn't ask more from a pastime, and, as a side effect, you bring a little happiness to us, your readers.

Sonds like you keep 'a poet's hours' there, Karen. So, you're 90% of the way toward the Poetry Hall of Fame: They say 90% of the job is 'showing up on time,' don't they?! lol. Let 2:00 a.m. every night be your goal. LOL, again. ~ Mr. Sandman

Dear Karen, Oh, such a warm, honest conversation in the quiet hours and yes, so relatable and heartfelt. I love how you write not just for yourself but also to connect, to find that shared spark with others. Poetry is as much about the journey as the perfection of each line. Keep writing through those late nights for your voice is inspiring and real, and I’m grateful to read. Spring Blessings, My Dear Karen, Daniel

Thank you Daniel for your warm encouraging words. I find your poetry to be uniquely stimulating and inspiring as well. Your work promotes growth and intellectually challenges the reader at whatever level they are on. A wonderful asset!
