Thanking My Friend
Unlikely meeting,
Brings unlikely friendship.
Through texting,
Of all things!
My brand new friend
Brings bright beginnings.
Bound honest and true,
Standing ahead.
Curiously cute
And fantasticly funny.
So easy to find a friend.
Yes so easy to laugh,
So hard to cry.
No tears in my eyes today.
So I thank you
Derek.
For text conversations
And times so not wasted.
For lyrics to songs
That I sing along.
And for memories yet to be made.
