Thankful Praise

Mind rests easy, peace with in,
I've laid my burdens upon Him.
Him who went so willingly
To die for me on Calvary.
He who knew no sin became
God's spotless Lamb and He was slain.
He shed His Blood to cover me
so God would see me sin-debt free.
The price He paid seems much too high
to the earthly mind if such as I.
My reasoning mind can't comprehend
the mind of God, His love for men.
His word says that I shall find
in Him,love, joy, and peace of mind.
So Lord, I humble haughty flesh.
I long to do your every wish
And bow before You lovingly
in thankful praise for saving me.
