This is not about me, it's about all the children whose lives have been ruined permanently by child abuse. Such a sad thing, what's even sadder is that there is still so much of this going on here, there and everywhere.

Tortured for years by the filth of his hand I was a child scared and afraid Threatened to be killed if I spoke his demand Tortured for years by the filth of his hand I am thankful for being dead, to him- you do understand Frightened to death by the threats that he made Tortured for years by the filth of his hand I was a child scared and afraid Threatened to be killed if I spoke his demand Tortured for years by the filth of his hand I am thankful for being dead, to him- you do understand Frightened to death by the threats that he made I was a child scared and afraid I will never forgive him- it's the price that he's paid Write a "Trionet" for me poetry contest Sponsor: L Milton Hankins 6/20/2021

Many congrats for your win Charlie. You have powerfully articulated an unthinkable experience of an innocent child. This should never be the memory, or scar, of childhood. Congratulations on your win! Well written - well deserved win. Blessings.

Hello Charles … these heartless predators need to be sterilized, exposed to the community, and hounded for the rest of their lives - thanks again Charles - Lindsay

This is a gripping poem. I could feel that 'filth of his hand'. Sadly, all too true.
