Thankful

i never thought that I'd have my own family
When I met you, my life changed rather suddenly

Cause you brought with you an angel sent from up above
You brought me a little beauty here that I have come to love

And I wish I could give her everything thing that she deserves
But I will be there for her anytime her life swerves 

I can show her what is right and I can share all that I know
I can hold her little hand and I can watch her as she grows

And I cannot express what having you two really means to me
For that you have my love and my devotion I hope you can see

Cause you brought my life new meaning and I can't thank you enough
And I know that I'll be with you through the good times and the rough

I'm here to fight away the monsters and steer away the pain
I'm here to protect you from trouble and shelter you from rain

And I will be there for you both until the very end
I will be your protector but more importantly your friend
