Thankful
In your heart, it's all brand new,
I'm already seeing the changes in you,
The pain is diminishing and your clarity is coming back,
And your thankful that I saved you from all of that,
The memories of sadness still linger at times,
But it means more to you that I saved his life,
And when you cry I want you to recall,
The reason you stayed through it all,
The purpose in the love you choose,
The choice was much greater than the feelings you lose,
The feelings will fade over time,
But they must in order to move forward with your life,
And you will never regret the choices you made,
Because you loved on purpose, it was never in vain,
