Notes About The Poem

Thank You Sweet Jesus

Thank you, sweet Jesus, for
Having enough love in your heart to save Mankind's soul,
After we scourged Your flesh and
Nailed Your body to a cross, mocked with a crown of thorns,
King of the Jews posted above Your bleeding head.

You suffered and got crucified for the sins
Of Man, trying to teach us to love one another
Under one God, our Heavenly Father.

Some people have allowed themselves to forget
What You did for them, and why. 
Every generation that’s come after You has been 
Exposed to the positive effects 
That Your death and resurrection, has brought about.

Jesus, You’re my Savior, and when I feel Your love
Enter my heart and 
Soul, I feel euphoric and
Unbelievably happy, 
Surrendering myself to that love.
