Thank You Prayer
Thank You, Lord for helping me to see
That this isn’t who I have to be
If I just stay in your word and keep pressing on
I know that it won’t be long
Thank you for finding my joy within
Now I can have peace again
All I gotta do is stand strong
I wanna be in the number
I wanna see your face
I know I get impatient but sometimes I can’t wait
Cause I’m not cut out for life on Earth
It makes it so much harder to relay Your word
When you got enemies, by a look
Not giving people what they want
They start to get mad and they revert to taunt
How can enemies be your friends, I don’t know
Some people in this world have gotta learn to grow
It hurts me so much when people say
Ignorant things just to make themselves happy
I wonder if they can read my hurt and pain?
Can they see that it drives me insane?
With cruel words to a kind soul
Things like that make me go out of control
Thank you, Lord for delivering me
I know that you will keep me free
From hurt, harm and danger meant to come my way
I know your hand will be upon me
And I pray that everything out my mouth
Will be needed to hear
I pray my destiny calls for no conflicts this year
With strength, courage and wisdom along the way
It’s drawing nearer the hour of rest
So tomorrow, Lord I pray for our best!
