Thank You, Lord

Thank You, Lord, for drawing me near Your presence… Indeed guarding me in my godliness-evidence As You strengthen my faith thru Your power’s persistence Midst carnality’s insistence and humanism’s preference. Thank You, Lord, for instructing me thru Your counsel… Indeed enlightening me in my confusion-struggle As You illumine my understanding thru Your truth’s epistle Midst doubt’s jingle and deceit’s bugle. Thank You, Lord, for purifying me for Your glory… Indeed sanctifying me in my guilt-worry As You pardon my sinfulness thru Your compassion’s victory Midst wickedness’ injury and evil’s misery.
