Thanksgiving is nearly over Santa is building toys He has a list for all Good girls and wee boys First, let me be thankful I'll list some of my joys There is a husband who Works even sometimes coy Then there are the children Who once stepped on my toes But at all times now my love For them grows and grows God has granted me grandchildren Oh, now I am so truly blessed Sometimes I wonder how they are so wise But then every once in a while, what a mess Remembering once I was in the loo My grandson decided to make a drink Hot cocoa his choice to mix And not over the sink He dropped the cocoa powder Then tried to clean it up It was spread all over Boy! That was rough stuff But I am blessed to have him He's an angel in disguise God sent him to fill a void In our older lives This is only a tiny tale Of what God has granted In our lives The list of our blessings will last beyond this life I know this is not true to a list poem but it is how it came out. Thanks for stopping by Andrea. I have got a cold (I guess) but the rest of us are okay except Kaizley who was sick last Friday, but I haven't heard from her since so I guess she is at least the same or well. Sara

Lovely, Sara. Oh, those grandchildren can certainly be a handful at times. I have (5) grandchildren ranging from 2-21 years old...my 5 yr. old just finger painted me a picture...she got more paint on the table and floor than on the paper.. Gotta love 'em. Hugs Charlie

I had one of my grandchildren make me fall backwards and a big boo-boo on my noggin. All are little children are angels :) love them all. God knows our needs. Love the write. Have a great Christmas with all your loved ones. lots of Love and Hugs

The cocoa powder story very funny! My daughter’s friend was over eons ago…she started tapping on my kitchen floor. I looked down and their were scuff marks everywhere. I said nothing handed her a sponge…lol

Kim, Our grandson tried to clean it on his own but it was far from clean. How all that happened in such a short length of time. Once we had a home on a lake and I was going to make a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting so I was getting the cocoa out of the cabinet which was over the AC filter and I dropped the cocoa and the lid popped off and the AC came on. That was not a fun afternoon. Your comments added so much to my page. Thanks for the visit. Sara

Victor, Yes, with children and grandchildren and great grandchildren there are always those good and bad points to be taken into consideration and also the fact that we are all human. Human beings make mistakes and outright miss the mark. Your visit was encouraging. Sara
