Notes About The Poem

Thank You, God

Thank you, God For the gentle whisper Of a breeze against my cheek ~ Thank you, God For the soft reflection Seen in a graceful moving stream ~ Thank you, God For the sense of peace Discovered within the forest ~ Thank you, God For the scenic sunrise Warming sundrenched skin ~ Thank you, God For the twilight moon Bidding my heart inspiration ~ Thank you, God For the simple pleasures That are found in nature’s wonders ~ Thank you, God For giving me a spirit That feels alive amid these treasures ~ Thank you, God For sending me these gestures That remind me of my many blessings

I love that your poem is so entrenched in nature, it adds a lovely element of connectivity that touches the soul.

SECOND - Anyway, gratitude is primary to me in a relationship with Father/Mother/God so I am faving this poetic tribute to God. I feel compelled to ask you to read my, "Extinction by Litter" on the 5th page of my poems - maybe you have a spiritual pov that would help me with perspective on the issue in that poem that makes me cry frequently. Blessings ... CayCay

This is extremely lovely and added to make even more lovely is the sincerity in which I believe you LIVE the lines you wrote: I believe that just by being you, Regina, you witness true gratitude and love as your goal in all you do. Beautiful are you in every action I have observed from you on Soup. All that you wrote of in the poem resonates with me. I'm going to run out of room.

We have so much to be thankful for and so many of us fail to see it. We have to learn to count our blessings instead of curses. This is great. I love it. Here in Canada it comes right before Thanksgiving which lands on my birthday this year. Oct. 14. Going into my faves. God Bless JB
