Thank You -For Our Veterans-

I don't know you by name or for which war you fought, I want to say thank you for the freedoms you've brought. Your brothers and sisters gave their lives for you and me, they will never be forgotten because they set us free. They didn't die in vane their memories will forever go on, being told through your stories as you try to keep yourselves calm. Tears may stroke your cheeks as you give a peaceful salute, remembering your fallen comrades even though their voices lie mute. On this very day, dear Veterans I thank you from the bottom of my heart, you and your comrades, set me free though you go on living apart. Copyright Cynthia Jones Nov.11/2017

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Wonderful Jan. It's always good to see gratitude for service; we can not allow our service men and women to go unappreciated when they've laid their lives on the line. I'm sure any who read this poem, are appreciative.
