a few months ago
my life was black and blue
the world was a dark place
that is until i met you
my life was crumbling
but you picked up the pieces
one by one
i thought i couldn't trust anyone
that everything they said was lies
you showed me people do care
you gave me strength
when all i saw was my weaknesses
you gave me hope
when all i saw was fear
you gave me friendship
when i thought no one cared
you gave me back my heart
when i threw it away
and that's why i wanted to say
thank you
