A place out of my comfort zone
of hopelessness and despair
I can feel happy with no worry at all
This house has a peace of comfort
that I needed
even if it was just a short while
A land that's new
but doesn't feel strange
I felt like I belonged
I fell right into a family
one I don't see often
The quiet moments meant so much
more than you can tell
My smile I could tell was real
and it all felt natural
These are tears of joy
because it was time well spent
I thought I should just let you know
by my silent words
