Texas

Autumn has sprung; a rebirth of the seasons.
Crunchy, brown leaves falling all around.
Around this hot, ill weathered town.
Cooler temps to ease the pain.
Refraining from the dreadful heat.
In which some were slayed.

Being from Texas I always hate to see the summer end. Autumn, particularly late autumn, always reminds me of the big chill that lies ahead. John

Such a lovely autumnal piece Jayne, great imagery with real insight too. Hope Texas is a little cooler now, across the big Atlantic pond here in Scotland it's really cool. Blessings, Gordon
