Texada
Texada where the deer roam free
Where sunsets are spectacular in summer
Where clams and oysters thrive with low tides
I swim in the sea's frigid waters
Coming out and basking in the sun's heat
The winds are warm this summer day
Tomorrow we swim in the quarry's fresh water
Summer is wonderful in these Gulf Islands
Maybe next year we'll try Campbell River
And the islands of Cuadra and Cortes.
