Testifying To God's Intervention
God came into my life
1982 it all came to pass
Jesus Christ became my Lord
spiritually transformed upper class
In 1981 I got married to Jean
having found love a year before
Jean had lupus many years ago
but had recovered to open my door
Now in '82, the lupus returned
Jean got steadily worse till October
then she died that night so sad
my soul that night felt so burned
In the preceding months before
God had been speaking to my heart
but always refused His mercy
that fateful night God lit a spark
I prayed to God my sins forgive
make me His brand new creation
for Jesus took all my sins at Calvary
now part of a divine new nation
Testifying to God's intervention
this act was all of God's special grace
nothing of me but all of Jesus
chosen in eternity His hand does trace
(I have written this poem giving my testimony of when and how I got saved)
