Terri Lynn

I read your letter just the other day
                               From  fifteen year old you
                         remembering music we use to play
                               The things we use to do
                         
                           Then you moved back to your 
                                     Southern home
                            I missed your smile each day
                           But grateful to our God above
                             He'd ever sent you my way
                         
                              Memories of so long ago
                      Those young teen girls we use to know
                       Folded letters from long time past
                   My dear sweet friend, years flew by fast
                   
                     Now decades later, time / space apart
                            My longest old time friend, 
                        I hold you close within my heart 
                                Until we meet again

I want to go visit her as soon as time will allow, if time will ever allow it! She reached out to me before covid19 and had wanted to come down and visit. After she moved away over the ensuing years between husbands, kids soon following we kept in touch by phone and mail less often. We're both grandmas now, and I still miss my friend.
