Tender Musings

Searching deep within my gentle heart, I find
Endearing images that always come to mind
Nostalgic moments that sometimes make me cry
Tears of happiness from splendid days gone by
Important occasions celebrated in the past
Milestone memories in my life, meant to last
Enriched by parents; enhanced by loyal friends 
Nurtured by love with a bond that will not end
Timeless recollections filled with melancholy
At Thanksgiving and Christmas decked with holly
Lingering thoughts retreat to when I was young
Including the lullabies and birthday songs sung
Tender musings that I shall always hold dear
Yearning to keep my yesteryears forever near
