Teluris

Illuminating the patio and lawn,
the sunbeam descended in beams of light,
daring through the leaves of the vine.
The little insects gleamed,
like miniature light bulbs,
blinking non-stop.
In the morning heat,
an unrecognizable cicada among the grass
performed a solitary opera.
The sun advanced in the sky,
the light focused more and more
through the cracks left by the leaves of the vine,
forming gold coins on the green carpeted floor.
A dragonfly stopped in midair.
It went up, it went down again.
And in an accelerated flight disappeared
just as it had appeared: swiftly, magically, happily.
