Telling Time at Midnight

reclaiming night bright elevations
rearranging parked stars
in distant constellations
i am dumbstruck
gazing up
at the answers to questions
we have yet to ask
the clock tower pinnacle
points to the heavens
Striking each chime
on time
and lingers at midnight
hidden from
the morning sun
calling
revolving
dissolving
before the dawn
