Tell Me Why

Tell me why
Why you sit in the shadows
When the light is right in front of you

Why you choose to fade away
When you can shine
Brighter than the stars in the sky

Why you wither away
When you can bloom
And stay beautiful like the rose flower in my garden

Tell me why
Why you choose to hide your true self
Just to fit into the ideology of another

Tell me why
Why you hunger for toxic pills
Pills that steal your youth and innocence

Tell me why
Why you choose to be lost
When you can be found and safe

Tell me why
I’m trying not to cry
Cos’ I see waste
A pretty flower
Hidden behind dark curtains
A pretty flower in torment
A beautiful flower you are
Yet you choose not to bloom
Please, tell me why!
