Tell Me Why

We read in the papers
We see on the news
Our children of tomorrow
Battered and bruised

By neglectful parents
What did they have them for
And rebel leaders
Fighting their wars

Even in society
Our kids are prey
Gone tomorrow
From yesterday

Even natural disasters
Take their toll
In the streets they scavenge
Invisable food bowl

They are our future
In our survival apply
Why does it happen
Tell me why

Awesome James! I love it. True, the tragedy of so many children today. How shameful indeed. Why have them in the first place indeed, when one is not able to take properly care of them? How do such hateful "crime lords" get to a position of leadership fighting their war and the expense of their people? Why, oh why, indeed? Thanks for sharing. Best wishes to you and yours. Caroline.
