TELL ME THE COLOUR OF WORDS

Tell me words are red And I'll tell of the lives We lose everyday in the middle east Of the lives in danger in Northern Nigeria The Sahel, Ukraine, Russian and Syria. Tell me words are white And I'll tell you how a world of peace is I will tell you how you go to bed at ease And how deeply you sleep And wake up with peace. Tell me words are blue And I'll ask you to come to Freetown To stare at the Atlantic ocean And see the might of nature So blue, so big, so blessed, suffering from excessive heat. Tell me words are green The Amazon, the northern Savannah Trees of different kinds, flowers Disappearing slowly from the face of earth For we choose to eat than preserve. Tell me the colour of words And I'll paint you a picture Of grief, of agony and of neglect Don't expect an image that glows Not a Mona Lisa but you'll see wonders
