Tell Me How...What Did I Know....
Out in the world,
chasing glory and fame
slowly...a shadows been
cast on your name....
chasing the bright lights
and the heat of the moment,
fighting the wrong fight
I've ignored your improvement....
I don't know why i looked away
I don't know why i didn't stay,
I do know chances are very few
so tell me how to get back to you....
Dark voids,empty holes
aching to be filled....
I thought I knew,but
what did I know
as I longed for the latest thrill.....
replacing your love with foolish things
time enamored with trivial pursuits
distracted by what glitz and glamor brings,
it's now upon me to choose.....
I don't know why I looked away
I don't know why I didn't stay,
I do know chances are very few
so tell me how to get back to you....
