Tell Me Again

I’m left wondering, Do you still need me, like I need you? A simple smile and three words I long to hear. But if they ever come, I do not know. You said you’ll never give up, You’ll never leave me behind. But I’m left stranded, Working myself to be who I was. Better than who I was. You say you miss me, Just as much as I miss you. But I know I was exhausting. Do you still mean every word, About loving me again? The answers you’ve told me, A thousand time before, But is it wrong that I want to hear them again? I need to be the best me, Without you around. To show you the progress, To show you the truth. You say you still love me, And would like to try again. Why can’t I get it through my head? I trust you, I miss you, I love you. I lust for you, to kiss you, to hold your hand. Tell me again that the future is so bright. Tell me again, you and I will see another night. Tell me again, that you’re still waiting for me, Tell me again that you haven’t given up hope. Please, tell me again.
