Tell It Like It Is

TELL IT LIKE IT IS

I wish to tell it like it is
what I think to put that straight way:
   If unpleasant, me in crisis.
though for sake of truth I should say.

If pleasant, so easy to speak.
I wish to tell it like it is.
Bad news can’t express so quick.
Evil things! I try to polish.

Honouring truth, facts I should release,
but hesitate, if it hurts, though
I wish to tell it like it is.
   I know, openness to follow.

   Not being harsh on empathy
I don’t hit thoughts of her or his.
   Restrictions put by sympathy.
I wish to tell it like it is.
