Technological Breakdown

Technological Breakdown.
.
Has Hi-tech technology
Now gone too far 
That we seem lost without
In this hedonistic instant gratification
Obsessed  days
.
Or were we better without it yesterday
When life was simpler and less complicated
In so many different ways
.
Of course it has made life easier
And communication better still
But I think it's gone too far
We are moving too fast
In a speeding burning car
Without a brake
.
For the good souls it’s a useful tool
But for the evil one’s 
A Devils playground
With souls to take
Leaving devastation
Within it’s corruptive wake
.
Where is the joy today?
For the evil and greedy have taken it away
With ads that invade your home
All the time on social media
And now on your phone
.
The latest must-haves
Up for grabs 
Telling you it’s the most current desirable thing
They just don’t want to take your money
But sell your soul and even take your skin
. 
I used to love to watch old movies
That I enjoyed as a kid on TV
but now they have taken them away
And now charge you a fee
.
Too much choice too much hype
The net gets darker
With so much trolling and so much vice
But serious sin comes with a price
.
Ads that bring pain and sorrow
Invest in a will or funeral plan now
Never mind tomorrow
Brainwashing by marketeers
And greedy investors
Who hound you into submission
Vultures who pick at your bones and pester
.
Endless logins and security
Take the joy 
Out of everything for me
.
Bulling extortion and scamming  
Viruses and jamming
The dark web
And evil sceaming and planning
.
The high cost of technology
Doesn’t just come 
From the latest labeled must-have phone
But the one’s we use every day
That intrude our lives
And our home
.
G5 and too many microwaves
May take us to our early graves
Technology has gone way too far
And soon will have its day.
.

Victor Buhagiar December 10, 2020 at 3:33 AM When Cain discovered the use of granite to light a fire, he used it to kill his brother. The granite is not at fault, man is. Same with technology. How happy I was with Windows XP. Now having spent all that money on Windows 10, I lost my printer and scanner. There is good everywhere, but there is also greed. As for the evil generated by technology, it is again the work of man. You can open a soccer game without some dirty invitation. Have to delete the all. A wonderful poem. ~~

I was very upset when a restaurant put a little plastic cube on the table and said to read the menu from an iPhone. I don't have an iPhone. It feels like some of us won't be able survive in today's world and you're certainly right about the net seeming "darker" than ever. Enjoyed reading very much. I agree that technology used by someone bad is not good. I do miss the days of old when we weren't so reliant on it. Children fall, victim, to corruption due to technology being in the wrong hands. I could go on and about that but I won't. The pros are online shopping due to Covid. And of course, there’s the soup. It allowed us and others to meet in this format. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but evil people and greedy companies are killing technology. I cannot even get into my SMS on my phone due to multiple ads, I know have to sign in everytime I use Google and FB, and i'm sick of ads on YT, even in meditation videos. I've noticed a big shift recently. there is little joy for me anymore. it stresses me.It can't go on like this. Thank you. G5.That's another story stay safe.

In the last few months. it has got worse and worse. it has taken the pleasure out of so much. I can't even read SMS messages anymore due to multiple ads on my phone. Greed and evil have unfortunately destroyed a great way of communicating.They even try to fleece is for money to stop ads on a well known site. not much we can do I'm aftaid. I get multiple texts and phone calls, on line too, scammers, trying to shock me into parting wuth money be careful. i'm stressed out my friend. thank you. X

Tom Cunningham December 7, 2020 at 12:43 PM Those carefree days of the past are long gone Peter, now its all about greed and making money, Years ago things lasted a lifetime but now cheap junk is the norm that has to be replaced after a year or two. The oceans are filling up with toxic waste, the ozone layer shrinking, mankind will be the cause of his own destruction for sure, I hope I'm not around to see it. I did hear from a good source, that G5 in test areas, killed flocks of birds.No wonder we have so many Dolphins and Whales beached on shores. All the microwaves and now even more.It's my world, yours too, but greed money and power, are destroying the very things we need to survive. It's a live today, die tomorrow.
